HFMP which is now undertaking preparations for the intensification of its information drive in partnership with DILG-Local Government Academy hails the formation of the Constitutional Consultative Committee appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
HFMP Chairman Celso Tizon said this is another step in achieving the goal of changing the highly- centralized government towards the federal system.
He said the President is correct in naming former Supreme Court Chief Justice Reynato Puno as chair of the ConCom for his proven integrity, ability and understanding of Federalism.
Tizon said HFMP will fully support the ConCom in its tasks to hold nationwide consultation, study and drafting of the proposed Federal Constitution as well as its submission to Congress and to the people through a plebiscite.
