Charman Celso Tizon announced today plans for the holding of "Handog Pasko" for #BangonMarawi to bring cheers to the members and supporters of Hugpong Federal Movement of the Philippines in Marawi in Lanao del Sur.
He said the Christmas Season activity will showcase the continuing concern and support of the movement to help in the rebuilding of Marawi not only physically but also importantly to uplift the spirit among its people.
The details of the activity will be ironed out on November 4 as Hugpong Federal leaders converged in neighboring Salvador, Lanao del Norte. The plan was initially discussed during the tour of Tizon, National Convenor Peter Lavina and Secgen Vergilio dela Cruz in Negros Occidental last weekend.
Tizon alerted chapters nationwide to start preparing for gift packages or cash donations for this charity project of the movement.
On several occasions these past few months, Hugpong Federal had mobilized its members nationwide to help the evacuees of the Marawi seige sending two Relief Missions.

Negros Region opens Murcia headquarters
Congratulations to Regional Coordinator Chato Moya for opening today the Negros Island Regional Headquarters at Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Upon opening, work immediately commenced to consolidate the federal movement in the island region after two successful assemblies held In Victorias City (3rd District) and Isabela (5th District). The assemblies were attended by Chairman Celso Tizon, National Convenor Peter Lavina and Secretary-General Vergilio dela Cruz.
Last week, Negros Oreintal held a Provincial Assembly at La Liberad attended by National Convenor Lavina and Sec-Gen dela Cruz.

Negros Occ passes Resolution for Federalism
The HFMP Provincial Assembly in Isabela in rural central Negros Occidental approved unanimously yesterday a Resolution endorsing a federal form of government.
Mayor Joselito Malabor led the assembly of more than 3,000 as part of the municipality's 13th Tigkalalag Festival.
He said it is essential to empower the people of the 5th District of the province in discussing the merits of federalism for them to embrace it.
Earlier, on September 8, 2017, the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Henry Foscablo passed a Resolution endorsing to President Rodrigo Duterte the shift to a federal form of government.
They said restructuring the form of government will bring about more development to the regions against the current highly-centralized unitary system that develops only the national capital region and key urban centers.
The assembly was attended by top leaders of Hugpong Federal led by Chairman Celso Tizon, National Convenor Peter Lavina, Secretary-General Vergilio dela Cruz, Region XVIII Coordinator Chato Moya, and Negros Occidental Provincial Coordinator Mary Jean Diamante.
The Isabela Assembly was the second of three activities slated in the province during the weekend. The first was the assembly for the Third District held on Saturday at Victorias City attended by over 2,000 and today's Office Blessing for the NIR headquarters in Murcia.

Forum on Federalismo in Rome, Italy
Hugpong Federal Astig Volunteers in Rome, Italy led by Lolong Persigas of Davao City held today a Forum on Federalismo beginning at 9 am (4 pm Ph time).
As many as 70 OFWs joined the forum where Chairman Celso Tizon and National Convenor Peter Lavina both attending the Provincial Assembly in Isabela, Negros Occidental were able to deliver brief messages by phonepatch.
Both national leaders congratulated the continuing efforts of Hugpong Federal members in Italy to campaign for federalism.

Chairman Celso Tizon announced the holding of a Federalism Provincial Summit in Salvador, Lanao del Norte on November 4.
He said the summit is a back-to-back activity with the blessing and inauguration of the new Municipal Hall of Mayor Hassanor Tawantawan.
Tizon said they have invited Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte to grace both activities.
Last Monday, the young Davao chief executive and presidential daughter spoke at the launching of Tapang at Malasakit Alliance of the Philippines calling on the Filipino people to unite for change.

2,000 join Negros Occ 3rd District Assembly
Within days after the launch of the new Tapang at Malasakit Alliance of the Philippines last Monday, HFMP is back on its track proving to be the most active grassroots movement supporting President Rodrigo Duterte's call for change via a shift to a federal form of government.
At the Negros Occidental Provincial Assembly today at Victorias City, Hugpong Federal Chairman Celso Tizon reiterated the movement's aim to win more adherents to federalism.
He said more and more Filipinos are realizing that the rotten unitary system will not effect fundamental change in governance to catalyze development in the countryside.
He called anew for the the decentralization of governmental powers and resources to the regions for a well-rounded national economic development.
Hugpong Federal National Convenor Peter Lavina traced the history of the country subjugated by foreign invaders and elitist oligarchs and the federalist movement that has been clamoring for fundamental change in the government structure.
He said now is the brightest time in our country's history under President Duterte to accomplish this end.

Consolidation at home base
HFMP Chairman Celso Tizon addresses the consolidation meeting of the Davao City Chapter October 27 to align the grassroots movement with the call of Presidential Daughter and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara for national unity and support President Rodrigo Duterte in his efforts to effect genuine change in the country. HFPM is one of the largest groups in the new Tapang At Malasakit Alliance of the Philippines.
