Ancient history shows forefathers moving towards Federalism
Without Western intervention and colonization, our islands from Luzon to Mindanaw would have confederated into one nation in a natural course of conquest and consolidation in nation-building. Recorded existing kingdoms rajahnates and sultanates pre Hispanic conquest already include 1. Kingdom of Tondo (extending up to Bicol) 900 AD, 2. Rajahnate of Butuan 1001 3. Namayan 1175 (Luzon) 4. Rajahnate of Cebu 1203 5. Kadatuan of Madja-as Panay / Negros 1213 6. Ma-i (Mindoro) 1227 7. Sultanate of Sulu (including Sabah and Palawan) 1406 8. Layag na Kaboloan (Pangasinan) 1406 9. Sultanate of Maguindanao 1500 10. Maynilad 1520. We are sure there were existing tribal kingdoms as well in the Cordillera but unrecorded.
